My name is Brook Bargas and I am the Children’s Ministry Lead.

I grew up in Costa Mesa and love this city. I went to school at Mariner’s Elementary, Ensign Middle School and graduated from Newport Harbor High School. I currently work at Estancia High School serving the Administrative Staff and faculty. I have 3 beautiful children, Seth 20, Morgan 9, and Kai 7 and my wonderful and amazing husband Mike Bargas.

In 2008, I started my journey of building a stronger relationship with God at The Crossing.  A few years ago, our family moved to Westside Costa Mesa, where we discovered Palm Harvest.  After attending for a few months, Pastor Mike approached me about serving in the Children’s Ministry.  I do love kids!

I did not consider myself “qualified” but after much prayer, it seemed like God was inviting me to trust Him; so I said “yes!”  Since stepping into this program, my service has provided me with an amazing opportunity to learn and grow alongside my own children and other children. I am grateful that the church has entrusted me with this opportunity and I look forward to what God has planned next!!

I don’t really love surfing… sorry to bum you out! I think it’s a great sport, I just never tried it because I grew up away from the ocean in Guadalajara, Mexico.

If you invite me I can try though…

We are so excited to learn more about Jesus, to me it always come down to His unconditional love that welcomes anyone to His table. So I would like to invite you to join us in our journey as we discover more of his Kingdom and the ways we can parter with what he is doing in our community.
